BreakdownThe Merino Core Lightweight Half-Zip features premium 17.5-micron merino wool spun around a nylon core, creating a high-performance next-to-skin layer that combines the comfort, warmth, moisture management, and natural odor control of merino with the durability and elasticity of nylon. Will be my next to skin layer and also bought the hoody version for antelope hunting in the sun. Fits good, is not torso-tight.
Can’t say enough, Amazon on my Montana Elk hunt. With temps ranging from 15 below to in the 40’s. Definitely a must!
Very quiet fabric, fit just right and kept me warm when the sun went down. I plan to buy more Sitka gear and highly recommend the hoodie for September hunts
Finally threw down for Sitka gear and pleased with the purchase. Per it's description it is truly lightweight, which as one would expect translates into minimal warmth. It wasn't an issue for early season mule deer and elk, but it's not something I'll be wearing when the temps stay under 60 degrees. The merino lives up to it's reputation in repelling odor that I can smell.
