goHUNT Staff Sizing Profile
BreakdownThe Heavyweight Hoody is one of the most versatile pieces in the Sitka lineup and a goHUNT staff favorite. It can be worn as the base layer for cold weather late season hunts or as outerwear on active early to midseason days. The channeled comfort-stretch fleece insulation retains core warmth while allowing moisture to rapidly move through the system. The Heavyweight Hoody is Polygiene Odor Control treated to neutralize odor and the half-length center zip is great for dumping excess heat. The stretch thumb loops allow you to add or shed layers without compromise. The final touch is the low profile hood for those chilly mornings and evenings.
Bend your elbow and put your hand on your hip. Measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the shoulder, and down the elbow to the wrist bone.
CHEST SIZE MEASUREMENT

I love this hoody! Soft and very warm without a lot of bulk. This is my new go-to mid layer while hunting and has become my favorite outer layer here in Florida's cold 55-60 degree winter temps. The hood is very comfortable to wear and the thumb loops allow for easy layering over top of this piece. I would highly recommend this item if you're looking to try a first article of clothing from sitka, yes it is expensive, but it is worth its weight in the field.
Sitka Heavyweight Hoody
I actually own 3 of these hoodies (Subalpine, Open Country and Dirt)!! I’ve worn this hoody on SE NM hunt from temps ranging 60 degree days to 30 degree days and it kept me warm at my core while having other layers on top. Even when I would shed layers I always found myself leaving this hoody on since it dumps heat really well and if it got cooler all I would do is zip it up and retained my body heat extremely well and the polygen really does work with preventing odor.
Lots of ways to mix & match all these layers depending on season and weather.
I own a lot of Sitka gear and I really like this heavy weight top. It is nice and warm, perfect for a light mid layer or an early season outer layer. I’ll be adding one more to my collection. I wore during archery elk over the top of a core light weight tee and hoody for extra warmth in the AM, then ditched once the temps heated up.
