Fish in the Backcountry

Heather managed to pull off a dehydrated fish meal in the backcountry. This is my favorite Heather's choice meal by far and I like that Heather uses natural ingredients in her meals.

I definitely feel better in the backcountry when I avoid tons of processed foods and artificial flavors. I always plan on taking a few of the Smoked Salmon Chowders with me if they aren't all sold out.

Nothing to complain about. Would have had 5 stars if it had a little more flavor. This one was my third favorite of my most recent backpacking trip.

Not for me

I don’t know what’s going on. A lot of people say this is good but it wasn’t for me. I was expecting something more like a clam chowder New England style minus the clams of course. What I felt I was eating was salmon that was left outside to dry in the sun covered in salt mixed in a water mash with wilted carrots that you couldn’t even chew. Also the time it takes to cook is way too long.
