The GOHUNT Down Hunting Jacket is a purpose-built insulation piece, designed to provide maximum heat retention while being packable and lightweight. The jacket is cut to fit over top of baselayers and midlayers, with enough room to move throughout. Made from 94% down cluster and 6% feather, the combination of baffle size, 900 fill power, 6.88 oz fill weight of down, and cluster percentage creates a massive amount of dead air space, ultimately providing greater heat retention. Elastane cuffs are comfortable while not being constricting. The hood is designed to stay up in the wind, with a built-in half-face shield and a cinch cord to keep your neck, cheeks, and ears warm. The exterior fabric is a durable, tightly woven 20D nylon with a water-repellent finish to bead and discard light precipitation. A drop-tail hem provides extra length in the back to cover your crack during long glassing sessions.

"I was on the fence between this and another newly updated offering from another company. Ultimately, I went with this and the pants because the extra few ounces vs the other is in pure down and a tougher fade fabric. I used it around camp on a bear hunt last weekend to get an idea of how it insulates and I was about sweating in the 40s. It lofrs really nicely (something you don't really get with DWR-treated down) and still fits comfortably under my SG M5 shell without compressing. This is going to work really well for glassing Nov Elk in MT next month!"
"Honestly I had very high expectations hearing all the teasing and hyping from the podcast on this down jacket and I must say, this blew past my expectations! Initial reaction to opening the box- i love the material and packaging of the bag that it comes in and I plan to keep it in that bag when in storage. Then my reaction to feeling this jacket- its so soft and comfortable and feelsl ike a "cloud". Fit is great. I love the material. I love the thought put behind this jacket,for example, the soft stretchy material around the cuffs, genius! For whoevers idea that was. Small details make the difference. Love the zipper and sizing design around the neck and how you can bury your chin into this jacket if need be for in the wind. Love the quality. Truly blown away. Good job Go Hunt team!"

"Great jacket. Just got down using it on an Alaska moose hunt. Provided near instant warmth when needed. Easy on and off. The way the cuffs are sewn is a nice feature. Appreciate the stuff sack included. It did get damp at times but never affected the loft or performance. I can’t comment on durability as it was only one hunt but I have high hopes with this piece."
"I was excited to buy this as soon as it dropped, trusting the GoHunt guys to put together an exceptional product after using jackets from various brands for the last 2 decades. Haven't had a chance to use it yet (it's 90 degrees in VA) but I am super thrilled with the quality and fit. It is pillowy soft, very lofted, and not loud. I'm 6' 175lbs and the large is perfect. With just a t-shirt on it feels rather roomy, but it will be the proper amount of room for layering in the colder months. Coming from a Sitka Kelvin Lite hoody, this will be a massive warmth upgrade for cold glassing weather."

"As advertised. The downfall is the down isn’t treated like the completion is (at least SG and Kuiu). This is a major drawback in my opinion and probably why it comes in at a lower price even though the GoHunt has more down."
