BreakdownThe Viper PST Gen II gives hunters an advantage in the field or on the mountain. The illuminated reticle is very nicely integrated into the side focus adjustment for easy access. Its glass etched reticle is perfect for hunters giving you very functional, intuitive, detailed hold points but at the same time, it's uncluttered to keep your aimpoint clean. It also features 10 reticle brightness levels with an off position in between each.
I spent MONTHS doing research on scopes. After frustration and being completely overwhelmed, I decided to go with my gut on the par gen 2. Currently on a Bergara HMR 6.5 creedmore and will last my entire life. I was really considering the 5-25x50 in the same scope, but for someone who shoots at range for fun, but is a serious hunter, this is where it’s at. Able to see for any up close shot, and still see far enough to shoot at distance. The EBR-7 reticle is perfect. First focal plane, easy to see at low setting when lighted up. Easy for any holds, and turrets are strong and sturdy. 0 stop is a must, and amazing clarity even in low light. This scope could easily cost double and I wouldn’t bat an eye. Best decision I have made on a hunting rifle that’s used for fun as well.
