Breakdown
12x50 binoculars have become very popular because they are light enough to run in a bino harness, and the extra magnification on a tripod helps you at longer distances. The new Vortex Razor Ultra-High Definition 12x50 Binocular has superior optics in comparison to its Razor HD predecessor. Its new Abbe Koenig Prisms are the main improvement. These new prisms are longer than the previous version, and so weight is increased slightly. However, a little extra weight is a small price to pay to be able to spot more game. They also feature improved edge to edge clarity. The UHD series of binoculars are truly the highest quality binoculars that Vortex has produced to date. As with all Vortex products these binoculars are covered by their no questions asked lifetime warranty.

"For the past 7 years I've been using the Viper HD 10x42's... which I loved but felt like they were limiting at far distances of 500+ yds. This was the top end of my budget and compared to the others (Maven, Zeiss, Nikon, Leupold) that I considered around the same price, these UHD's were the best in my opinion. I absolutely hate carrying the extra weight & bulk of a spotting scope so, my main goal was to find some bino's that would allow me to see animals at long distances and replace having to carry my spotter..... these UHD's absolutely did this for me. They are a bit larger than I'd prefer bino's to be but for the purpose they serve is worth it. The first hunt I took them on was a January Buffalo hunt in the Henry Mtns of Utah. They worked phenomenally in the bitter cold without fogging up. Putting them on a tripod for spotting animals long distances works great and I prefer using both my eyes vs one when I'm using a spotter. I highly recommend!!!!"
