Why we like this product

  • The 85mm objective lens is great for glassing in low light
  • Its angled body is ideal for glassing at awkward angles
  • Great edge-to-edge clarity giving you the ability to glass longer and see everything in your field of view

Razor HD is one of the finest spotting scopes on the market. Premium HD glass lens elements, hand-selected and precision-ground to exacting standards, deliver brilliant, true-to-life views. Advanced optical elements eliminate aberrations for distortion-free, flat field images with great edge-to-edge sharpness, remarkable clarity, resolution, and color accuracy. Fully multi-coated with XR™ coatings, give maximum light transmission—an extremely critical attribute when finding and evaluating game in low light. Twist-up and down adjustable eyecup, built-in sunshade, rotating tripod ring, and a smooth helical focus make this a very user friendly scope. A die-cast magnesium alloy body with strategically-placed rubber armoring ensures ultimate strength and durability. The angled eyepiece allows for a shorter tripod and good head position for those long glassing sessions, and the 85mm objective gives you all the light-gathering capabilities you'll need.

Great Scope

"Solid build, good glass and backed by an excellent warranty. You could spend more but I don't see enough benefit to be worth it."

Solid scope

"Pairs well with my Vortex Razor riflescope. That Vortex guarantee and inherent quality made it an easy decision over some of the more expensive brands."

Vortex Razor spotter

"I paired the razor HD 27-60x85 up with the sirui T-024SK VA-5 fluid head carbon tripod kit and I can not wait to use these this season . I borrowed a razor HD spotter last season and that is why I had to get one this year . Great addition to the gear list and can’t wait to really put it to use the season and for many seasons to come ."

Vortex spotting scope

"It’s still pretty new but have used it a few times and so far I love it. I was just kind of bummed that after spending $1600 it didn’t even come with a free vortex sticker."

Rich M. (5/5)

Very pleased

"This was a gift. My hunting partner was very happy with the clarity. And, then there is Cody! Top customer service anywhere."

Vortex Razor HD 27-60x85

"Overall super happy with this decision. Cody was a gigantic help and super patient talking through options - can’t say enough about GoHunt’s customer service. Spotter is not overly heavy given it’s power and glass is awesome. It’s great that it comes with a case and protective glass covers too right out of the box. Turn Key and ready to go. Very happy."

Zac H. (5/5)

Fantastic Product!

"Have used on several pre-season scouting trips and just love this spotter. It's light-ish, fits in my bag and works well to spot critters that are far away. Highly suggest it!"

Decent Spotter/ Some Issues

"I used to have the prior vortex model spotter and I actually prefer that one over this. The old spotter went down to 20-60x85mm. At first I didn't think the difference of 7 magnification would make a difference, but it does. It's much harder to figure out where you're at when your glassing because the field of view is much smaller. I also have had an issue with the eye piece constantly falling out or getting loose when you try to zoom in. Edge to edge clarity is good at close range but suffers at long range. I also preferred the focus system on the old model spotter. I thought I'd get used to the smaller field of view after a year or so using it but its still taking some getting used to."
