"Love that I can stand up and glass. A little heavier than I would like."
"nice tripod for the money, i used a diamondback hd 85mm scope on it"
"It being my first tripod. Seems sturdy and tall enough to stand while using my binos"
"I like how durable and stable the tripod is in the wind. I have not tested it in the field, but have tested it in the wind with the spotting scope. Still retained a good image with moderate winds."
"I really like the Vortex High Country. It’s durable and heavy duty. Easy adjustments let you easily focus on an animal. I’ve yet to use it in the field but I’m excited to try it!"
"Good tripod for the money and my first set up."
"I love this tripod kit. I primarily use it for my Leupold SX-5 and for my camera when filming. I love the fluid arm on this tripod. This is not for you ounce shavers but is still a lighter tripod. I remove the down bar that shaves off some ounces."
"Just what I needed"
"Generally I follow the GoHunt Podcast advice - especially when it comes to Cody Nelson who is by far one of the most knowledgeable subject matter experts on glassing. I was worried that a $200 tripod would pale in comparison to the alternatives of the Sirui or Manfroto that are $100-$150 more. For the price point this tripod is at I am able to easily glass off the tripod - the pan head is very smooth, the adjustment knob takes a bit to get used to but doesn’t require any serious torquing to hold firmly, and the base is very stable and straight forward. Additionally it feel like this tripod will do well in windy conditions because of the extra weight. The tripod also easily holds my rifle via the arca Swiss plate which is coming in at approximately 14 lbs fully loaded. If money isn’t a concern, go for one of the higher end tripods. I’m sure they have even more refined features and adjustments. But if budget is a factor I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tripod and buy it again. The features, warranty, and quality are in perfect balance with the cost."
