Worked great for harvesting my elk picked mushrooms with it as well all around a great knife
I have only had the knife for a few weeks now but have used on skinning and quartering a couple whitetail does. It works great and changing the blades is a breeze. Thinking of getting a couple more to give away for Christmas presents.
Sorry for the misspelling in my 1st review.
As a follow up.....
I stated I bought my Gerber for $39 ea on Amazon. I decided to order another Gerber for a back-up .....just in case I lost my favorite knife. So, I went back to Amazon and found the Gerber for $25.55.
I like gohunt.com but when the same product is available from another source for less than 1/2 the gohunt price AND free shipping, I feel like I am getting raped.
Hi Steve, glad you liked the knife. The Gerber knife you are referring to on Amazon for $25.55 is the Gerber Pocket Folding knife which is smaller and less expensive than the Gerber Vital Big Game Folder Knife. We follow the manufacturer pricing but we price match so please feel free to reach out to email@example.com anytime you want us to price match.

I bought a Haviland knife with replaceable blades several years ago but always was disappointed with the way my blades were easily knocked loose or broke because of their design. I recently bought the Gerber version and absolutely love it. The same blades (60XT) that broke and became loose in the Haviland work amazingly better in my Gerber. However, $59 is close to highway robbery for this knife. I bought two of them for $39 each on Amazon.
Glad you like the knife! We follow the manufacturer pricing but we price match so please feel free to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org anytime you want us to price match.
