It was designed for the backcountry hunter who wants to stabilize their optics but also wants to maintain the lightest pack possible. Cleaver Design for Minimalist Hunter

"Excellent concept and functionality! Clever design! I’ve only tried it out at home and in the backyard, but it works great with my tracking pulse. I got it for areas that I hunt that only have a small percentage of glassing to save weight. Going snow camping this weekend and will test it out in the field. My only critique is that it’s a little heavy, but it still saves 14 ounces from my Gitzo set up. I would’ve given it five stars if it was a bit lighter, but I’m sure Tracer would’ve done that if they could’ve done it without compromising quality."
