Therm-A-Rest NeoAir Xlite Sleeping Pad 2020
I have four nights on this pad so far, and I’m very impressed. I came from a sea to summit comfort plus, the king of comfortable pads that could also anchor a boat. I absolutely loved the comfort of that pad, but I was tired of all the space it took up in my pack and the weight. In prep for my 2020 elk season, I made the switch to the NeoAir XLite. So far, I couldn’t be happier with the switch. This pad is every bit as comfortable as my previous pad and it’s 1/3 of the weight. It’s also surprisingly quieter than I was expecting. The new valve is pretty slick too; it’s the best I’ve ever used. The only reason I’m giving it four stars is I haven’t been able to put it through the paces of September, but based of initial impressions and 4 nights of backpacking it’s my favorite pad to date.
Got this as a gift from the wife from GoHunt's store. They were spectacular through this whole ordeal. I went on one hunt with this sleeping pad and in the morning I woke up and the zipper from my sleeping bag was evidently sharp enough to puncture a huge hole in it when I opened up my bag. It was not fixable in the field and that evening I went to town to buy a foam replacement. I called GoHunt and they did the best they could with the manufacturer, but they wouldn't warranty it. GoHunt did give me some free points towards their store which was more than necessary. Not a durable product. Sometimes light isn't always the answer.
