An ultralight backpack using no ultralight materials, it is capable of 150-pound plus loads and expandable to 6000 plus cubic inches. Inspired by solo sheep hunts in Alaska, the Stone Glacier Solo makes an ideal minimalist backcountry multi-day backpack. A 3600 cubic inch bag fits all your ultralight 4-season gear and a week of food. For longer trips expand the bag from the frame and add 2500+ cubic inches of storage for your food in the load shelf.
After you notch your tag, use the load shelf and the 2500+ cubic inch load cell that is sized to carry an entire boned sheep or mule deer. In elk country, the load shelf is sized perfectly for elk quarters. An ultralight pack made with the toughest technical materials, the Solo is a versatile pack built for North American backpack hunts from the Beartooths to the Brooks.
Which Stone Glacier Frame Is Right For You
Stone Glacier makes two ultralight, load-hauling hunting frames: the Krux and the Xcurve. Both frames are compatible with every SG bag and each feature adjustable lumbar support and an integrated Load Shelf rated for 150+ lbs.
The key difference between the two frames is: the Krux Frame uses straight carbon stays and the Xcurve Frame uses curved carbon stays. This difference accounts for the two most common back shapes and allows the wearer to achieve a comfortable fit depending on the size of their torso and the shape of their back.

"Very disappointed in GoHunt for sending me a used bag. It arrived dirty, with no tags and had a piece of a candy bar wrapper in it, wtf GoHunt? Being that it arrived just days before the hunt, I went ahead and used it. Great bag otherwise! I used it on a 4 day/3 night hunt. All my gear fit great, comfortable to carry and very well made. Just wish I hadn’t paid full price for a used piece of equipment."

"I had been hunting with the Kuiu Pro suspension and 4000 bag. Packed out a few deer and an elk with it and although it never failed. It wasn’t quite right for me. So after doing an exhaustive amount of research I decided on the SG for a day hunting pack. I haven’t hunted it but have had a 50# bag of corn strapped to the meat carrier and have put some miles in on my property. "I was in a pickle, my previous hunting back was not working like desired. And I needed a pack quickly were right in the middle of bear season, and it came in 4 days. Love the pack have already been on a 7 day hunt with it and had no hip pain or shoulder issues! Even when you load up this pack it doesn't ever feel like your really carrying much.
