Breakdown
The SkyAir ULT is a sil/sil tarp tent large enough for two men and gear that only weighs 8 oz. The poleless design is pitched with a trekking pole in the front and back and stakes around the side. For early season use, you will be hard-pressed to find a lighter weight shelter. For bug season use, add the SkyAir Mesh Insert, or in bad weather add the Footprint and Front Vestibule to protect you and your gear from the elements. The versatility the SkyAir provides is excellent and is the minimalist backcountry hunter’s dream. The packed size of 8” x 4” x 4” and weight of 8 oz will increase your range in the backcountry, allowing you to increase your usable load for your pack out after a successful hunt. It's not seam sealed, it's lapfelled construction, a waterproof stitching technique. You can add your own seam sealant if you'd like.

"Great setup for backpacking. So light that when I received the package in the mail, I thought it was empty."
"Overall good quality tarp and I like the ability to adjust the width of the footprint depending on the area you are in. Like any new item it takes a few attempts to become proficient in setup but nothing crazy. As others have said I wish it came with about 4 more stakes to make it great out of the box, I also added one of the guy lines to the back trekking pole to make a “Y” with it. If you just anchor straight back it tends to flap in the wind and fall over however when you anchor on both sides of the pole it is very secure. I haven’t used the the insert or vestibule so can’t say anything for those. During rain I would definitely say a vestibule would be helpful though otherwise you will get wet (not directly but just mist the way it is angled). Overall for the price and weight it is a good setup for early season and milder conditions where wind isn’t a huge issue."
"The Stone Glacier SkyAir ULT sleep system is so light, you won’t know it’s in your pack. Utilize your trekking poles, and pitch this sleep system in minutes."
"Solid shelter. It goes without saying it doesn't have much room but it fills its niche nicely. Easy to set up, light as heck, and stayed dry in rain with the vestibule. Pretty dang resilient in weather so far as well. Its been great for alpine scouting trips and excited to use it this season"
"Awesome shelter paired up with the mesh insert and vestibule, can’t beat it for the price. All three items pack down to about the side of a 32oz Nalgene bottle. Setup is pretty simple only con is having to basically belly crawl in and out."
"Perfect shelter for lightweight use. I have used it during sudden downpours, it made storms more bearable."
"Lightweight with plenty of space for those trips when you want to go ultra light. Easy to pitch with your trekking poles. Definitely worth it but don’t forget the vestibule."
"Extremely light and easy to use"
