The Stone Glacier Grumman Down Vest shares the same technical specs as the Grumman Jacket, now in a smaller package. The Grumman Down Vest uses 100% traceable RD certified 850+ fill goose down. The HyperDRY™ DWR treatment adds a layer of water-resistance directly to the down helping shed water. The outside of the vest uses a 15 denier Pertex® Quantum shell. This piece used can be used as active insulation while hiking or paired with the Grumman jacket for the ultimate warmth combo during glassing in extremely cold conditions.

"Let me preface that the Grumman jacket is AMAZING. From the contraction ti the weight and especially the fit (for taller slim guys like myself). BUT, this Grumman vest fits tight on the chest. I’m assuming it’s for layering purposes but the fit is noticeably tighter in the body. The length was perfect and it hugs the torso well since I have no belly but man oh man does it hug my chest TIGHT. It fits the chest way slimmer than the Grumman jacket. For reference I’m 6’0 and weigh 175"
