Why we like this product

  • Extreme weight-to-warmth ratio
  • Larger shoulder box compared to most other bags on the market
  • Pertex® outer shell provides great protection in damp conditions

With a focus on warmth to weight ratio and pack-ability, the Chilkoot 0° bag utilizes industry-leading materials to achieve an overall weight and temperature rating that is best-in-class. A Pertex® Quantum shell adds water and wind resistance to protect the 850+ Fill power goose down HyperDRY™ insulation. This bag is designed with an articulated footbox and differential cut to provide warmth and maintain loft around the body regardless of sleeping position. An articulated hood boasts a uniquely designed insulated neck cuff with an elastic and magnetic closure to seal in heat. A weight-conscious 2/3 length reverse coil YKK zipper is paralleled by Dacron tape to reduce zipper snagging. The Chilkoot 0° Delivers When It Matters

"Build quality is exactly what you’d expect from Stone Glacier — super high-end materials, smooth zipper, and little details like the neck baffle actually sealing heat in. It feels like gear that was designed by people who actually hunt and live out of a pack."

Have not used it yet

"Have not used it yet but the weight is amazing a definitely seems to be warm"

Weight to warmth best in its class

"Just recently received my chilkoot 0 degree bag and paired it with the 8 L compression dry bag. Super light but an absolute heater when using. This has been something that I have been reading on and was most definitely worth the buy. I’ll be using it in late season Idaho to put it to the test in the mountains but really wish I would have had this on raspberry island Alaska last fall when I was freezing in my sleep. If you’re in the fence to buy, DO IT!"

No more cold nights

"My brother recommended this bag after last season when I woke up freezing cold at 2:00am with my old bag. The warmth to weight ratio is crazy good, so that’s not going to happen again with this SG bag."

Amazing sleeping bag

"Not mountain tested yet, but feels high-quality and lightweight. Excited to test at this September and will update the review with the results."

Chilkoot 0°

"Roomy like the 15 degree. Good for side sleepers. I purchased for the weight, heat retention and sale price."

"Very light weight and warm!"

SG Chilkoot 0’

"I live in south Louisiana so no chance to really test out in elements yet. Very comfortable, roomy, and seems very warm. Very packable and light as well."

Eric W. (5/5)

Iceman

"I know that I must be an outlier. Everyone said, “Buy the 15 degree bag. It’s plenty warm, and you can layer”. However, like the song said, “You’re as cold as ice”. I just returned from a week long hunt in Idaho where the coldest night was 18 degrees. Even with the Chilkoot zero bag, I slept that night in my long underwear AND my Grumman jacket. It is a well made sleeping bag, comfortable, plenty of room, but it is not up to the temp rating for me…your mileage may vary."
