"I've tried any number of combinations of gloves for November hunts, and after this year's trip to CO I decided to buy these gloves on the drive home. I used them in WI deer season and loved them. Mitts cannot be beat for finger warmth. The cuffs are large enough to easily fit over my layers, and the inner liner is removable. No fit issues with my Garmin watch either. I'll likely run a very thin and snug base layer under these for late elk season."

Great glove, little tight
"This is fantastic glove - very warm, waterproof, and not overly heavy for what it is. Very easy to take liner in and out, but not so easy that the gloves constantly fall apart. I'm a consistent medium in gloves, and I am here too - but SG advertises that you can wear gloves under these (e. g. , base layer merino) and if I thought I'd do that often, I probably would've ordered a large instead. The Strata glove under the Altimeter mitt was a pretty tight fit, but not uncomfortable to a significant degree."

Amazingly warm gloves
"I absolutely love these gloves!! I tested the water proofness on a rainy hike and was bone dry and tested the down gloves during a few below freezing morning and was very comfortable. I am looking forward to using these on my up coming hunts!"

SG Altimeter Mitts
"Purchased these for glassing on cold days. They get the job done and are well made. They’re fairly packable as well."

If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit
"Purchased these gloves for a November elk hunt. Fit great! Can’t wait to test them out in the field."

Solid!
"Love the two piece combo… Get my hands really warm!"

Purpose built
"These pack small and weigh next to nothing. When temps were near/below zero in late season needed "hot hands" to supplement. Not as warm as a traditional mitten, but a fraction the weight."
— Trevor M. (4/5)
Most Versatile Glassing Mitt on the market
"Just got done using these for a week on Kodiak. The shells are truly waterproof as I was using them to dip my filter bag under the surface of the river and they never leaked and the liners are very warm. Dexterity is what you'd expect from a mitten but they is still more than enough dexterity to operate tripods and focus knobs for glassing. The ability to use the liners and shells separately is amazing. It takes a little practice to get used to taking them off in one piece but the versatility is well worth the tiny hassle."
