Decided to give these a try on my mule deer/antelope hunt this year after shooting them at hogs and alongside my field points this off-season. They are accurate and fly like a field point but I am NOT sold on their effectiveness. On both animals I did not get a pass through and I'm not convinced the blades fully expanded on contact. The blade on one bent in a way that it would not allow the other side to open and the entry hole from the other was minute and after inspecting the head upon recovery, it was still in the flight position. I ended up putting follow-up shots in both animals. The design seems to be the same as shwacker where the blades begin to expand once the point is already making entry into the target causing a lot of friction that hinders penetration. At the end of the day I recovered both animals but I had higher expectations for the raptor trick's performance after shooting the slick trick 100 grain magnum broadheads for years. If an expandable is your preference, rage or grim reaper perform better.
