The twist locks allow for quiet and easy opening of the tripod. They also help reduce snags on straps and your other gear. The load capacity of 6 lbs 9.6 oz is enough to handle almost all spotting scopes and binos. The VA-5 head is extremely smooth, easy to use, and versatile making it the perfect head for glassing. It is also very compact and lightweight.
