The Sirui T-004SK Aluminum Tripod paired with the VA-5X Compact Fluid Head is a great setup, and you can't beat the price for this kit. Even though this tripod is aluminum it is still very light, coming in at 3.5 pounds. It is tall enough to glass off of standing if you are average height and using an angled spotter. The twist locks allow for quiet and easy opening of the tripod. They also help reduce snags on straps and your other gear. The load capacity of 6 lb 9.6 oz is enough to handle almost all spotting scopes and binos. The VA-5X head is extremely smooth, easy to use, and versatile making it the perfect head for glassing.
