BreakdownFiltering up to 1.75 liters a minute without any pumping, the high-capacity GravityWorks 4.0L water filter is one of the easiest and fastest ways to get filtered water in the backcountry. Ideal for basecamps, the system has an 8-liter total capacity, easily supplying filtered water for drinking, washing up, cooking, and cleaning. While it has a big capacity, it is also very compact. When properly stowed it is smaller than most 1L bottles.
Platypus GravityWorks 4L Water Filter System
I went on a backpacking trip into the high Uintahs with 15 people. This cranked through mountain lake water like I have never seen a filter do before. It is light weight and no pumping! We literally filtered 50 liters over 3 days and again no issues. You do have to back flush and clean but way easy. Worth the money!
Filtration system answers any issue I had with my msr pump, leaves more time for glassing, fishing, setting up camp, etc. It’s just better and lighter as long as a good water source is found. Friends are already getting their own after seeing mine
