Why we like this product
- 20D Silnylon construction with a 2000mm Stormshield Coating, 3-layer cone construction, and TX-07 reinforcements
- Integrated stove jack accommodates up to a 4" diameter, zip away floor can accommodate a 12" wide stove
- Crosstrek Stabilization using Peax Elite or Pro trekking poles (sold separately) optimizes snow and wind loading ability, adds internal head space, and can be used to hand dry gear when in camp
- Patent pending Singlepoint Guyout System adds a layer of rigidity and stability to maximize heavy snow and wind loading
If you're looking for a tough-as-nails, lightweight shelter for your next adventure, the Peax Solitude 4 should get some serious consideration! Its Crosstrek Stabilization and Singlepoint Guyout systems make it one of the most stable shelters on the market in both high winds and heavy snow loads. It also gives you a great place to hang gear to dry out or just stay organized. Combined, they increase overall headspace up to 30% and give you a ton of livable space, that we all know is in short supply on a backcountry hunt. The proprietary Stormshield Coating on the 20D Silnylon lasts up to 3x longer than traditional coatings. Combine that with reinforcements in all high-stress areas with some of the world's strongest materials like TX07, VX21, and Hypalon, you have a shelter that will keep you and your gear safe and dry in almost any condition.
If you're on the fence about trying a floorless shelter, add the optional footprint and you have a full bathtub floor with a zip-away panel that's compatible with most ultralight stoves. The integrated stove jack can accommodate up to a 4" pipe while still maintaining good clearance. All of these features give you the ability to try a floorless shelter but maintain the ability to still have a full bathtub floor. All of these different configurations, make the Solitude 4 a true four-season shelter.
***Single-wall, floor-less shelters tend to produce more condensation than traditional double-wall tents. Factors like humidity, ground moisture, and vegetation will impact the amount of condensation inside your tent. We recommend pitching your tent in an elevated position to increase airflow and bringing a small towel to wipe the inside of your tent periodically to reduce dripping.***
