"These are a very nice product I went with four stars for the fact that they are not as stiff as I feel they should have been. I love how small they fold down and light weight they are."

"These felt cheap.Replaced with Black Diamond trekking poles.WAY BETTER QUALITY.The locking device is so strong.I’m 6-3,260 and I pressed on one pole with all of my weight and was shocked how strong they are.New fan of Black Diamond not so much on the sissy stix."
"Exactly what I was looking for. Light weight and foldable to an easily carry size. Fits nicely in my pack. Will be using it through out northern Europe. Quality is something !"
"The Sissy Stix Backcountry Z Trekking Poles were paramount in the success of my spring bear hunt two weeks ago. My buddies and I spent ten days straight in highly technical and rugged terrain carrying heavy rucks. Around day 5 we crossed a fairly swift creek in pursuit of a known bear up valley. We were successful that evening and ended up killing a nice boar. Due to the conditions we decided to stay back in that drainage for an additional two days hoping another boar would come through. Unfortunately one did not. During our hunt for another bear up drainage, we neglected to pay attention to the rising temperatures which in turn was melting snow in the high country at an alarming rate. Once loaded up with gear and bear meat, hide and skull we made our way back to that original swift moving creek to find that it had swollen into a white water river. It took us two days to finally get across that river and another entire day to reach the airstrip to catch our bush plane out of that grand and jagged country. I put those sticks to the test and they performed flawlessly. Hiking almost straight up hills, crossing slash, wading treacherous creeks and rivers, and counting on them for balance and support when exhausted. Plus the fact that they can be broken down and condensed into a packable fashion really helped with flying on bush planes."
"I already have a pair. I bought these for my son and he loves them."
