"Purchased this piece to try out a synthetic base layer as opposed to wearing a 125-250 grain merino wool layer of similar style. The vigor quarter zip warms you quickly and seems to release excess heat well, keeping you properly warmed if layered correctly for your activity. Sleeves come off a touch bulky if you are wearing as an outer layer and dont wear the thumb loops. Otherwise when in use that bit of excess gives room for non restrictive movement in the arms and good hand coverage with or without gloves. Biggest thing I have noticed is the synthetic base layer seems to build and release body temperature quicker than a merino wool layer, This helps keep your body at correct temperature without the feelings of being to hot or cold during activity."
