Breakdown
The Pop Up changes the game for day hunters by enabling them to carry a small, convenient, and lightweight bag that could easily convert into a heavy-duty load-hauling frame pack once they get an animal down. The Pop Up frame "pops up" via telescopic stays that utilize trekking pole technology for greater strength and ease of use.
This frame can be adjusted to a raised position which allows you to haul heavier loads more efficiently. It features Rip-Zip access to the main compartment along with zippered accessory compartments on the lid and the front. The side water bottle pockets and compression straps securely fit tripods and trekking poles.

Good pack

"Good pack"

Great pack

"Great pack. Can’t say enough good about the Mystery Ranch packs. This one is great for that day or two out. I have the 28 and bought one for my wife."

Mystery Ranch pop up 28.

"Awesome product, so far I love it. The real test will be next fall when it’s loaded down with meat but I’m sure it will do just fine. They shipped it out so fast I couldn’t believe it. Thanks again."

Amazing day pack

"I got this because a lot of my hunting in Arizona is single day so I wanted something other than my big pack. This is the perfect size. It’s a little small imo for overnight, but it’s perfect to fit your kill kit, rain gear, lunch, water, etc. I haven’t packed out an animal with it yet but it seems solid. I would say if you want an overnight pack you probably want one of the bigger ones."

Great day pack

"Excellent pack for day hunts. The pop up frame gives you the ability to haul plenty of meat. I got all 4 bone in quarters and the spare meat from my doe antelope along with all my day gear (so food, extra clothing, kill kit , etc ) in it. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because I wish it had either another internal pocket or MOLLE on the bag so I could add another one. Currently I had to keep my small random stuff in with my food in the lid pouch and it’s annoying. The 38 seems to have fixed this issue but I’m not gonna swap over something so trivial. (Pic is me packing 1/2 a muley out over 5mi. Pack was great the whole way)"

Solid all round hunting pack

"The Mystery Ranch Pop Up 28 is a superb hunting pack! Other packs have had in the past had major drawbacks like being difficult to put on and off, and being uncomfortable when moving especially when loaded out. The Pop Up 28 has allowed to carry more weight comfortably, more easily and made packing in and out a dream."

Awesome pack

"I researched packs for a while before deciding on the Pop up. Very pleased with my decision in the pack I chose. It’s very well made, comfortable and really adjustable. Also big shout out to the guys at GoHunt. I originally ordered the Pop up 28 but I was notified the next day that it was actually out of stock. I was able to upgrade my order to the 38 with no additional charge. Customer service at its finest"

Quality materials

"After 48 years of hunting (Pa. white tails) with cheap day packs I decided to treat myself to something better. Researched packs and decided the pop up 28 would meet my needs. I have not had a chance to use it as it just arrived today. But what I can say is I am impressed with the quality of materials and equally impressed with the customer service at Gohunt as I had questions when placing my order. I would order through them again."

"Quality build, comfortable and highly adjustable. Pack feels good with a load."

Mystery Ranch Pop Up 28

"I am 5'7" and have the medium size pack. It fits very well and required almost no adjustment. Used as a day pack for an early season elk hunt so wasn't carrying a lot of extra gear or clothing. Very comfortable to wear all day. Unfortunately didn't get the chance to try the meat carrying ability. With the ability to expand I think this pack could be used for extended trips by placing large items outside the bag and using the straps to secure them."
