"Bought this because I was in the market for a small tripod head and this was a two for one type deal. Wanted to be able use window mount while I was in the truck and then be able to easily pull off the micro fluid head to use on my tripod. I was able to get it off but it was a full on chore. It wasn’t red or blue lock tight. It was a gray color and I’m not exaggerating, they used ALOT. After stripping the set screw and the main screw, a pair of channel lock pliers and a vice was needed to get the head off. Micro head still works good but definitely damaged the finish in the process"
