Small bolts above the red block come loose and will not stay secure once retightened. This causes stability issues along with safety issues. I spoke with hikers and got the same story from them. "I've been using the MSR Pocket Rocket for most backpacking trips. It boils water quickly and efficiently and is reliable, even in bad weather/cold conditions. I like to use the MSR mugmate in conjuction with this stove because I like a hot cup of coffee in the morning. I bought the MSR Pocket Rocket 2 about two years ago. I really like how compact this stove is. I've used it in alpine conditions, windy conditions, wet/stormy conditions and in temps way below freezing with great success. It boils water really fast, 1 cup in about 45 seconds and 1 liter in 3.5minutes. The stove is fuel efficient, lightweight and easy to use! It fits perfect into my pack!
