"I expected no less from Leupold. I got this scope for a specific purpose and it worked flawlessly. Crystal clear glass, light, compact and durable. My only change would be to add a universal way to put it on a tripod."
"To be up front this is the first spotting scope I've owned and used more than once. I grew up with an astronomer mom, so I've looked through both extremely high end and mediocre telescopes my whole life, and this is an awesome piece for the price. One thing I'll say when buying glass, is to a point you are getting what you paid for. So Swarovski or Zeiss spotting scopes are obviously going to be better than this, but this has impressed me as even when fully zoomed in on this the clarity and focus ability is really quite good. This has been from the beach up to 9,000ft, and performs wonderfully everywhere I've used it. One thing I have noticed is that when zoomed in to max, heat waves get exaggerated, but that is going to happen at some point for any optic. I was able to spot deer 2.5 miles away when bedded. so I'm happy with it."
