BreakdownWhen you're not using them, you'll hardly even notice that the Leki Micro Vario Carbon Trekking Poles are there, but the second you need them you'll wonder how you could have tackled steep and rugged terrain without them. Made with an ultralight carbon construction, and featuring a completely collapsible folding design, these poles are a hunter's best friend. They're super easy to adjust and collapse, thanks to a simple push-button release mechanism, so you can respond quickly when terrain changes or it's time for a stalk. They adjust within an 8-inch range, and also feature an extended grip that helps you take on steep pitches with ease. The normal hand grip features a comfortable Thermo foam material and secure strap to ensure a steady grip on the trail, while their carbide flex tips provide a reliable hold on the varying trail surfaces you'll encounter as you trek through new landscapes.
Super light weight and pack down super small, there well worth the money!!!
I was skeptical about using trekking poles but after purchasing these I will never hit the trail without them. Easy to carry, easy to use and very lightweight.
I’ve only hiked about 25-30 miles with these so far but over all great product and would definitely recommend!
First off, I did way too much research on trekking poles for about 3 weeks. Shopped around in store and all over the internet. I found some other leki poles I was about to get but kept being drawn back to these because the 15” folded size. I’m so glad I made the choice I did. These suckers are extremely light weigh, and fold into 3 pieces to font in its own carry case. I can throw them in my main pack packet and leave room on my sides for a spotting scope and rifle if needed. They stay locked up, and do a wonderful job. I wish they had different colors, but I am mostly concerned with function, and these haven’t disappointed.
These are fantastic poles. They did me great for 2 years. BUT, just a heads up, I bought a set of these poles a couple years ago. This year on an elk hunt I had a pretty nasty fall while crossing a creek and busted one of the carbon shafts in half. I survived the next week with it taped up. I checked with Leki to see if they had a service department, which they do not. If you buy these pole and break them 1 year and 1 day from the date of purchase, there's nothing Leki will do for you. My advice, buy the aluminum shafts or buy another brand, not the Carbon Micro Varios.
