Big Fellas, This is for You
"If you're a bigger or heavier guy, then this is likely a pack/frame you will want to check out. I ran a Mystery Ranch Metcalf for the past few years. It was built like a tank, but never really sat well on my hips with more than 40lbs. I finally decided to go a different route this year and narrowed it down to Stone Glacier and Kifaru. After ordering both and trying them side by side with 50lbs, you could tell that each was definitely a step up from the Mystery Ranch. Both performed very well, but in the end, I kept the Kifaru Bedlam with the ark frame. If your a smaller framed or skinnier guy, the Stone Glacier will likely be at the top of your list. It's a fantastic pack frame and I loved how light yet solid it felt. However, If you have broad, thick shoulders like I do, I highly recommend taking a hard look at the Kifaru ark frame. The comfort on my hips and shoulders are unmatched. Is it spendy? Yep, but the extra $150 over the other premium packs was worth the extra comfort in my opinion. I purchased mine elsewhere before GoHunt had them in stock; otherwise, I would have bought it from them since they are awesome to work with. The bedlam bag is awesome too, btw..."
