Water filters have a life span and when one goes bad or gets clogged and the flow rate is slow, there is no need to replace your entire water filter. Simply replace the cartridge on your Vario Filter and you are good to go for another 2,000 liters (depending on water quality). The Vario cartridge is easy to exchange and recommended prior to hunting season or carry as a back-up on your hunt of a lifetime.

"The replacement cartridge came with all that was needed for a full tune-up (tube of silicone, o-rings, etc.). I took the Vario on a 6-day, 60 mile backpacking trip and used it for 5 of us and it worked flawlessly, no leaks, no drips, water tight and clean. Highly recommend."
