"I've been using these gut hooks for years on my Havalon knives. I carry one knife with a hook and one with a blade and this combo works well. The hook however, sometimes works like a charm, but MOST of the time it gets hung up, won't budge, or just comes up with clumps of hair. It seems to be very temperamental in regards to the angle of the handle in relation to the hide. I would love to see some improvements to the design, but will keep using until then."
