Merino t-shirt, not the best

"After a five day backpacking trip the shirt is already showing signs of wear with the fabric pilling where the backpack shoulder straps land. I washed it and put it in the dryer, which the label says “to never dry it. ” Most merino garments say this, but I have never had issues with that in the past. After drying the shirt, it now smells like burnt hair whenever it gets wet or sweaty. Totally my fault, but it’s still strange. I don’t think this shirt is as high of quality as Stone Glacier or Black Diamond merino tops I have used."
