You can message from device to device, text and receive messages, post to social media, and the interactive 24/7 SOS trigger gives you peace of mind no matter where you hunt. inReach weather forecast service offers detailed updates so you can plan accordingly. The Montana 700i also offers city navigator street mapping, roads, trails, water sources, state and local parks, forests, and wilderness areas. Preloaded topographical maps and/or BirdsEye aerial imagery allow you to easily navigate and see photo-realistic views and create waypoints based on landmarks. You also get an optional display of federal public land boundaries to aid you in navigating private/public lands. Finally, this GPS unit is rugged, durable, and tested to U.S. military standards and features a glove-friendly 5-inch touch screen that is 50% larger than previous Montana Models. The Montana 700i allows you to navigate, lay down and save tracks, plan routes, record critical waypoints, message loved ones, and plan and execute any hunt. A Great Device but the Battery Life Could be Better

"I bought the Garmin Montana 700i for the inReach service and that works as advertised, but the 700i is a fantastic device overall. The touch screen makes it easy to use for us old guys. My only dissapointment with the 700i is the battery life. If you leave the screen on the 700i will drain the battery in 8-9 hours. Extra batteries are available but they are expensive. The battery life is my only reason for giving the 700i four stars instead of five. With regard to GoHunt.com, I would give those guys more than five stars if I could. Their customer service is awsome! I initially bought the Garmin inReach Explorer + but I found the buttons and screen were so small I couldn't use them. Within 24 hous GoHunt.com responded to my e-mail with a phone call from a real, live human being. Nate is a pleasant young fellow who made it easy for me to exchange the Explorer + for the Montana 700i. If I ever need anything else carried by GoHunt.com, I will go out of my way to buy from them. Customer service that good deserves my loyalty."
