Garmin messenger

"Bought in the sale as they were the old model. Haven't used it yet, hopefully it's intuitive like the rest of Garmin stuff"

Jonathan U. (4/5)

Works everytime

"Garmin is the best in satellite communication and GPS products. Very happy with it after a few backpacking trips into big wilderness areas."

Brian C. (5/5)

Messenger and messenger app

"I have been using the Garmin messenger for a couple weeks now. The setup was very simple, and the communication through the Garmin messenger app is great. There is options for messages on the device. Little tougher to navigate. I’ve added everybody to the messenger app that I will need to be in contact with. Leaving in 2 weeks for a 10 day Elk hunt. Having learned this device, I am confident that it will suit my needs perfectly."

Matthew S. (5/5)

Peace of mind

"I just recently used this in a remote area to stay in touch with my wife and we both found this to be a huge help for daily check-ins. Due to lack of cell service this is a very handy way to stay in touch and assure loved ones that everything is going alright."

Tyler B. (5/5)

Works well

"Happy that I have peace of mind when hunting solo, my wife definitely would give this 5 stars. I give it 4 because you have to purchase a plan for it to work, nobody likes those recurring charges."

a nice upgrade from my old InReach

"I really liked my Garmin InReach Explorer+ but that's somewhere on a mountain in Montana lost to the elk gods now. Bought this as a replacement and its nice, its smaller, lighters, its ability to pick up a satellite and send messages seems better then my previous InReach (example: I could send messages from this device inside my house, the previous InReach would never connect to a satellite from inside my home) still has some functionality to get a message out from the device so your not just relying on the Bluetooth connection with your phone, it appears to have much better battery life but I have yet to test that and wonder if the battery life savings is kind of a bust because you need to have your phone connected and it'll drain the phone at a higher rate vs. how I used my InReach Explorer+. Overall, given the price point and the features it has I think this is going to be a great upgrade over my InReach Explorer+ God rest its soul."
