Two Seasons, Multiple Species, and 5–7 Miles a Day
"I’ve been running the Eberlestock Recon Modular Bino Pack (Military Green / Small) the last two hunting seasons for elk, mule deer, and antelope, and it’s been a great setup. On average I’m covering about 5–7 miles a day, and it stays comfortable whether I’m hiking ridges in warm early-season weather or layering up during colder late-season hunts. The harness distributes weight well and doesn’t dig into my shoulders, and it stays snug without bouncing around in steep terrain. I run the utility pouch and rangefinder pouch, which keeps everything I need right up front and easy to access without digging through pockets. It protects my binos well while still allowing quick, quiet access when I need to get on glass fast. Overall, it’s a lightweight, practical system that holds my essentials without feeling bulky or overbuilt."
