The Kowa 553 is among the premier lightweight spotting scopes available, and the only thing it lacks is that it cannot be rotated to compensate for different viewing angles. The Kowa 553 Mount securely attaches the body of the spotting scope and allows full rotation to allow viewing from either the left or right side when using the scope at large up or downhill angles. Weighing only .7 ounces, this mount is a great addition to the lightweight spotter. It is made from a Nylon material and features an Arca Swiss Dovetail allowing it to sit perfectly on most tripod heads.

"I’m not going to leave this on the spotter all the time since it doesn’t work well with the case, but when you are glassing those hard to see angles this thing is worth its weight in gold. It will always be with me in case I need it. Its super light and quick and easy to install."
