The Aziak Equipment Frontcountry Ball Head is a full-size and full-featured head, that meets all your glassing needs while providing a robust, stable, head that is easy to use. Unlike the lightweight Backcountry Light, this head boasts a large, oversize ball (1.25"), deep knurling, and heavy-duty knobs for durability. Its adaptable design includes a 'Tilt Lock Knob' for both shooting and glassing purposes, allowing you to lock the ball into a single axis of motion. The Aziak Frontcountry Ball Head's main ball lock has an aggressive knurled face and a minimum tension set point for easy use. With an Arca Swiss Dovetail and 3/8-16UNC base, it is highly compatible with all tripods. The Aziak Equipment Frontcountry Ball Head also has a compact height of just 3.2" which provides a low center of gravity and saves space in a pack.

"This ball head is great for shooting off of, and for glassing. I'm more of a pan head guy, but don't worry, they added tilt lock so you can lock in the ball to a pan/tilt feature which basically gives you the same functions as a pan/tilt head. It locks in your x/y axis and is super smooth! Really cool feature rich head that carries weight like a dream. They also have a great tension adjustment knob that works like a charm. I wouldn't look past this head."
"So far it’s great. . haven’t had the chance to use it extensively but being able to lock in and be able to pan as well. I was looking for something I can easily shoot a rifle off of as well, either via the arca rail or with a shooting bag and this checks both of those off. It would be super convenient if there was a handle attachment (which I think I have seen Rydell say there is something on the way)."
"Very impressed with this head. The design and features are so well thought out. It is the perfect "do it all" hunting head. Ball heads don't have the best reputation for glassing, but the pan/tilt lock feature and tension limiting adjustment make it a great glassing head that you can also shoot off of. It supports hunting rifles great. Weight is reasonable, very smooth, and a great product!"
