Why we like this product

  • Oversized rubber feet for grip on all surfaces
  • 3 section design means you get larger diameter carbon tubes over a 4 or 5-section tripod, giving higher stability-to-weight ratio
  • Oversized center column locking knob for ease of use with a gloved hand

The Aziak Equipment Backcountry Lite Tripod is exceptionally lightweight and great for backcountry hunts. Its maximum height of 45" ensures plenty of room for glassing from a seated position, and its three-section design provides a higher stability-to-weight ratio due to larger diameter carbon tubes. Additionally, its triangular center column allows it to fold up tighter and take up less pack space. Its one-finger adjustment to three different leg angles makes it easy to set up on any terrain. It also features an oversized center column locking knob and large rubber feet for excellent grip on all surfaces, making it an ideal choice for outdoor adventures.

Great Backpacking Tripod

"Took this tripod out for the first time spring bear hunting. At just over a pound with the Aziak pan head it felt like nothing to haul around all day. Glassing from the tripod was incredibly stable other than gusts of wind shaking the tripod. Held my swarovski 65mm spotting scope very well."

Best Backcountry Tripod currently

"Pair it with a Wiser Precision Ridge Warden and you have the best all around package for lightweight tripod that you can shoot and glass off of. There are stronger and more quality tripods out there but not in this weight category."

Super light and built with

"Super light and built with tight tolerances. Bought it to pair with a small spotter for backpack hunting. It’s not tall enough to stand behind but should be perfect for sitting."

"Great compact light tripod for backcountry hunting"

Trevor H. (5/5)

Perfect Tripod!

"I upgraded from the heavier, larger Vortex Mountain Pass tripod and couldn't be happier! I've taken this on a few Idaho hunts including to the rugged Frank Church Wilderness and it has exceeded all of my needs (super lightweight, durable, easy to adjust on different terrain and while using both binos and spotter). Highly recommend!"

Great upgrade

"I love this thing. It’s way more compact than my slik 634. I had decided to leave the tripod at home for my next trip but this thing is coming with me. I put the Wiser Ridge Warden on top. Very stable, even with the center pole extended."

AMAZING-LIGHTWEIGHT RUN N' GUN BACKCOUNTRY TRIPOD

"I have been running the Backcountry Lite Tripod from Aziak Equipment for the past year on all of my run and gun style backpack hunts, or any hunt that I am not carrying big optics. I have it paired with the Wiser Precision Nighthawk panhead and this thing is UBER light! It carries weight well (I run an 85mm Swaro ATX spotting scope) and this thing is just as buttery smooth as when I run my NL Pures. The leg locks are solid. They are durable. I've had several other name brand tripods and this one has been one of my favorites. If you are looking for a backcountry tripod, this is a great option!"

Hunter B. (5/5)

So far so good

"3 days in the field so far. I find that the tripod is slightly shaky and requires resting elbows on it to get the most out of 15x binos. Would not suggest for spotter. Otherwise it works well."
