The OLLIN NEXUS system utilizes powerful magnets to quickly and easily attract and attach optics and other equipment to a tripod or other support system. The system consists of two components with matching magnetic arrays: the NEXUS BASE and the NEXUS PLATE. The BASE and PLATE are sold separately.
The NEXUS PLATE has an included set of 1/4" screws to install into spotting scopes, binoculars, cameras, etc. The top face of the NEXUS PLATE has rubber sections to provide a connection surface for equipment, matching magnetic array to the NEXUS BASE, and matching mechanical interfaces for the L-channels and locking trigger.
Using the OLLIN NEXUS system is easy and intuitive. With a NEXUS BASE installed on a tripod or similar device and a NEXUS PLATE installed on an optic or similar device, the user will place the equipment with the attached NEXUS PLATE on the top surface of the NEXUS BASE at an angle between forty to ninety degrees. The matching magnetic arrays and alignment rings pull the NEXUS PLATE into the proper position on the NEXUS BASE, allowing the user to then rotate the equipment and NEXUS PLATE into the final position, where the spring-loaded lockable trigger will rest into a matching pocket on the NEXUS PLATE and the two components become secured together.
