PointsThe Stone Glacier Sky Archer 6400 Backpack has been highly regarded for its perfect blend of simplicity and large capacity, making it ideal for ultralight backpack hunting. Recent updates have enhanced the backpack's versatility and allowed for easy access to storage points, while still staying true to its minimalist design. The newest version includes a spotting scope pocket on the left side, an 8-inch zippered stow pocket for convenient access to essentials, and a 14-inch stretch pocket on the side for a tripod, water bottle, or extra layers. Additionally, a well-placed 26" long zipper on the left side provides internal access throughout the entire height of the pack, all while ensuring your bow remains securely attached to the front.
By combining the 5900 cubic inch main bag with the hydration-compatible lid, the Stone Glacier Sky Archer 6400 Backpack offers a total carrying capacity of 6400 cubic inches. Increase space and optimize load distribution with the Expandable Load Shelf, adding over 2,500 cubic inches for efficient and comfortable hauling of heavier weights closer to your back. This expedition-sized pack boasts a 150+ pound load rating, making it one of the lightest options for transporting your camp and meat out of the backcountry.
In Bivy Mode, easily convert this backpack into a 4,000 cubic inch day tripper or quick overnight pack using the top compression strap system and integrated storm flap. Gain even more organization capabilities by utilizing the ¾” tri-slide buckles inside the panel side zip to attach Swing Out Pockets and Camp Pockets. The Stone Glacier Sky Archer 6400 has been field-tested and approved by hunters as a reliable workhorse for extended backcountry expeditions and day hunts.
Which Stone Glacier Frame Is Right For You
Stone Glacier makes two ultralight, load-hauling hunting frames: the Krux and the Xcurve. Both frames are compatible with every SG bag and each features adjustable lumbar support and an integrated Load Shelf rated for 150+ lbs.
The key difference between the two frames is: that the Krux Frame uses straight carbon stays and the Xcurve Frame uses curved carbon stays. This difference accounts for the two most common back shapes and allows the wearer to achieve a comfortable fit depending on the size of their torso and the shape of their back.
