Great set up!

Tripod is great and the Pan Head is also great….it is smooth and reliable. Worked great with 15x56 binoculars.

This tripod head is paired with a leupold 12x40 gold ring scope. Very smooth and seems to work well. Will be trying it out soon on a Wyoming mule deer hunt.

Smooth Pan Head

This is smooth pan head. The quick release is easy to use as well. For the price. I think this pan head is a deal.

So far, so good.

Positives: Heavy duty, smooth operation, well made and reasonably priced.
Negatives(?): Removable base not same size as provided by Vortex optics so not as interchangeable as I would have liked but able to overcome that issue by buying the unidapters from Vortex so I can switch between my tripod and window mount more easily. Other issue appears to be the inability to fully lock the head from swiveling even when handle is locked down and not in use. Noise(?) Just my two cents worth shortly after I received it and looking forward to trying it out in the field this fall.
