"Akto" means "alone" in the Sami language. There could not be a more perfect name for this tent. It is a burly 4 season 1 man tent that will keep you protected from the elements while you are in the backcountry. This tent has a single side entry door and a large vestibule for your gear. While alone on a solo hunt, you could not ask for a better shelter.
The Akto features a single pole design and a single-ended full pole sleeve system. Along with that design the Akto uses a 9mm DAC NSL pole that offers great strength and reliability. This tent is part of Hilleberg's red label series of tents which are built to endure harsh conditions but also be as light as possible.

"In my experience, this tent has been perfect for my backcountry hunting trips to Colorado. I have been during September archery late October rifle. It rained a decent amount last year and the tent performed flawless. The previous review had leakage, but not worth the 1 star."
"I purchased this tent new from GoHunt on May 17th 2025 and it was shipped on May 19th. GoHunt did a great job. However after receiving this tent I found some videos about potential leaking in the vent over the top of the door. I tested it with a hose and in unfortunately mine leaked exactly the same as I saw in the videos. I contacted Hilleberg at tentmaker@hilleberg.com and also by phone at (425) 883-0101. I told the representative named Emmett about my problems and he told me via email they would send me a return label and they would send me a tent. After 6 phone calls and several emails I have still not received anything except one email shown below. I gave up on them. They just seem to want me to go away and just seamed sealed the area myself. Among the poorest service I have ever seen from any company. It took them 8 days to reply to my first email and they have not replied at all to my last email and I don't have time to deal with this type of customer support. This review is not about GoHunt. GoHunt was excellent. Here is the email from them: Thank you for getting in touch with us regarding exchanging your Akto. Our shipping department has created a prepaid shipping label to cover the cost of getting your current Akto back to us. We just wanted to confirm your address before we send it out. On your Go Hunt receipt we see it listed as . . . . . . 55318. Is this the best address for the prepaid shipping label? We will send this prepaid shipping label as soon as we hear back from you.
