The Gitzo GT1545TUS is a headless, ultra-compact, 4-section tripod with Gitzo's pioneered 180 degree leg folding system which allows the legs to reverse fold around the center column.
What we like about this tripodThe Gitzo 180 degree folding leg system allows this tripod to collapse down to 16.73" making it extremely packable and at only 2.3 lbs you can travel deep into the backcountry with ease. At its compact size this tripod allows you to support large optics and cameras up to 22 lbs. With the included short center column inserted, this tripod will get down to 8.6" allowing you to get to a lower shooting position.
The GT1545TUS features legs made of Carbon eXact tubing providing superior strength and stiffness while not sacrificing any of its packability. The "Traveler G-Lock" is a travel sized version of Gitzo's G-Lock system specifically designed to ensure security in its smaller size. The rubber feet have been designed to be compact and be easily replaced if needed. This tripod is perfect for glassing from the truck or deep in the backcountry, it can do it all.
