*Please note the Guide Light MT Frame has different sizing than previous Mystery Ranch packs. Many people who used to be a large will now fit a medium pack. Please check the sizing tab to ensure you order the correct size.
BreakdownWith the same unique 270° zipper access as the Beartooth, the new SAWTOOTH 45’s low-profile silhouette and ingenious organization hit the mark for backcountry hunters. Built on Mystery Ranch's Guide Light MT Frame™ utilizing burly yet lightweight fabrications, it incorporates the patented OVERLOAD™ feature with a newly designed, quick-attach frame capture for easier access to the shelf for packing out your harvest. It’s roomy enough for a fast and light overnighter as well as being perfectly suited for dawn ‘til dusk hunts where coming out by headlamp is the norm.
*If you are in-between sizes we recommend that you size down. This will ensure that you have the ability to tighten the waist belt under a heavy load and or after having spent multiple days in the backcountry and having lost a few pounds.

Used as day pack for 9 day hunt. First pack I’ve used that didn’t have my shoulders or hips hurting all week. A little overkill for day pack but not a big deal.
Then used to pack out both hind quarters (two trips) with no issues. Strapped down tight and rode good.
Wouldn’t mind a few more small pouches for organizing gear. Did put a small hole in fabric from setting heavy pack on hard surface and inner zipper poked through.
If you had to make a quick shot the shoulder strap is a bit bulky.
But overall, performed as advertised and very comfortable. Very pleased.
Awesome pack. Very very comfortable waist belt. Load shelf is a breeze.
I got this pack for saddle hunting whitetail on the East Coast. I don’t like gear hanging off the outside of my pack, and all my gear for a day fits inside with extra room for snacks - my climbing methods included. I still need to adjust it some more for a perfect fit, but it is pretty comfortable. I took my first deer, a 6 pointer, last weekend and packed him out on the overload shelf in one trip (a little less than a mile from the truck). Everything worked as advertised, and I was sore for a week after.
Bummer I bought it just before the current sale, but I’m glad I had it for that hunt!
Hunt, ski, hike.... I love this pack
Just got my new pack and love it.
