BreakdownIf you only want to take one knife into the backcountry, this is the one for you. It's made from premium S35VN steel for superior edge retention and textured G10 handles to keep it secure in your hand no matter the circumstances. Built-in the style of a modified skinning knife this is the blade for the hunter who prefers a deeper belly knife. This knife is razor-sharp with a full handled ergonomic grip with the weight of a skeletonized knife. The Kydex sheath comes with a single tension screw to allow you to customize how hard your knife "locks" in.
Bought this knife to brake down Coastal Rosie's and Blacktail's. This knife is quality- from the blade design to the steel and the scales are perfect. I love this knife!! I originally bought the Kifaru helium blade and thought for the coin it was anemic.
Argali Serac Knife
This nice knife is the real deal! I've used it for butchering a few things around the house (practice before the hunting season starts) and it did fantastic. The sheath is a nice addition and I've had no problems with it. Looking forward to testing it out in the backcountry.
Initial review of this product gives me the impression this is a well made in the USA blade. I’ve rated this a four-star because I haven’t yet put it through the abuse test as I do with most knives. Although, I’m impressed with the balance, edge, weight, G-10 grip & blade design as well as the sheath. A bit on the pricey side but I’m a believer in you get what you pay for. I’ve purchased other high-end knives such as Randall, Reeves, etc. and the quality of this knife, as a hunting/skinning knife is comparable.
