Smaller and lighter
"Smaller and lighter than the original pen, like that it's rechargeable, don't have to carry batteries for it anymore. Looking forward to testing it out more in ID this Oct."

Breakdown
SteriPEN is the world's most trusted portable ultraviolet water purifier. The Ultralight is reusable for up to 8,000 treatments. The Ultralight kills 99.9% of viruses, bacteria, and protozoa. To use you simply submerge the lamp in your water and stir it around until the SteriPEN notifies you that the purification process is done. You can only purify 1 liter of water at a time. Nalgene water bottles work great for this. Another great feature is that it is rechargeable with a micro USB. This is a great feature for the backcountry allowing you to charge it with a back-up battery pack or a solar panel.

"Arrived as expected. Charged it right up and works as expected. I'll be bringing this on my muley and elk hunts this year. Still have my gravity filter for set up in a backcountry camp situation but this thing will be perfect for water bottle refills when away from camp."
"Lightsaber your water. Gotta have something like this when you’re backpacking away from the truck. Wish it was type c chargeable but it is what it is. Clean water is worth it"
"I have always been a bladder and filter guy but decided to try a steripen for spring bear when I knew I would have access to flowing, relatively clean water. It worked great and relatively quick. Will be using anytime I know I will have access to somewhat flowing water."
"Bought for a friend. Sounds like it works well."
"Light weight and works. Heard the classic one maybe has fewer lemons but I have not had issues with mine yet."
