This enhanced PocketRocket stove boasts premium features, including a pressure regulator that makes it ideal for all environments, offering consistently faster boil times than non-regulated canister-mounted stoves. Just a smidge heavier (0.3 oz, or the weight of two nickels) than the PocketRocket 2 stove, this ultralight deluxe version features the most durable push-start Piezo Igniter MSR has ever built and a broad burner head for better heat distribution and simmering. For backcountry hunters traveling fast & light on the trail, this deluxe model offers one of the best overall cooking experiences in its class.

GoHunt had competitive pricing and fast shipping as usual. This stove model has great reviews from experts. Backpacking Light review helped me decide on this one. Used it for the first time on a 3 day backpacking trip last week and it performed as expected. I'll use this stove nested in a 700 ml titanium cup along with small fuel canister, backup lighter and foil for windscreen when I don't want the weight and bulk of my jetboil. Besides company reputation and quality, the two things that I like about this stove is regulated fuel pressure and good performance in the wind compared to similar models.
MSR PocketRocket Deluxe Stove
This stove served me very well in Colorado this year. It performed flawlessly at 10,000+ ft. from the pizo to the quick boil.
Great compact stove. Heats efficiently and starts easily.
Love the new Deluxe model it burns much more quietly than the previous 2.0 version. The addition of the built in igniter is awesome, no more digging through your pack for a lighter and trying to light with numb fingers or gloves on. Simmering ability is decent for such a compact burner but it really shines in boil time I’m able to boil 2 cups of water (typical amount for freeze dried meals) in under 2mins.
One thing I would recommend is having a good canister stand as this platform isn’t the most stable with just the fuel canister. MSR makes a great collapsible metal one weighing 1.2oz
