The Tarp 5 is designed specifically to cover a single person while also providing extra room for gear. Its shape makes it easy to get into and out of, and it can be pitched fairly high off the ground for the full, airy, tarp experience, or with its edges nearly, or even fully, on the ground for a remarkably protective refuge from bad weather. In keeping with its minimalist mission, the Tarp 5 is made from Hilleberg's very light yet strong Kerlon 1000, used in some of Hilleberg's 3-season, Yellow Label tents, and comes with attached 2mm guy lines. Poles not included.

"Without a doubt, this is one of THE best pieces of gear in my bag. I hunt Montana archery and rifle elk, and this tarp is extremely lightweight yet incredibly durable, it has SO many guy lines that it's easy to customize the shape to fit any circumstance. I've used mine for 3 seasons now, and I've created storm shelters, wind blocks, and sun shades. Setup and take down is quick and easy. If something ever happens to this tarp, I'll buy the exact same one again!"
