BreakdownThe Big Agnes Insulated Q-Core SLX was completely redesigned, inside and out, for 2020. The Q-Core is now lighter, tougher, easier to inflate/deflate, packs smaller, and sleeps warmer with Primaloft Insulation. When it comes to superlight comfort, this pad stands alone with offset I-Beams to create multi-directional support in the backcountry. With a 3.2 R-Value that is now certified by an independent third party, you can take Q-Core comfort all almost any hunt. Another added feature that makes this perfect for the high country backcountry hunter is the included pad inflation sack.
I haven’t got it yet. Had to use somebody else’s to go hunting. Still waiting on it.
Just used it on early September caribou hunt in Alaska. It was very comfortable and quiet for an insulated sleeping pad.
Big Agnes never lets down and always seems to be incredible value for the quality they provide. I have a hard time straying from this company when everything I ever get from them lasts forever and is a better price point and arguably better quality than options much more expensive. Pad takes about 25 big breaths to fill up, holds me in place while I sleep, and feels like a king sized bed compared to an old coffin-shape pad I used to run that’s a similar weight and size(packed). GoHUNT or course offers the best customer service along the way.

I really like the bag it’s warm enough for the temps I hunt, looks great and packs down nicely. However, as a heads up this would be very tight for most, as I am 5’9” 135 and the ‘regular’ is snug on me , I’m sure most would need a bigger size.
