Finally bit the bullet and spent the money on a quality pack. Got to take it out and put it to use on a 9 mile trek through the mountains last weekend. The pack was great. I’ve never felt so comfortable moving with 45% of my body weight loaded on my back. The pack design is awesome and allows for access to necessities without unpacking the whole pack. I was able to attach both my bow and rifle to the pack without problem (until I got into areas so thick everything I walked passed grabbed my bow). The one con was the pack is a little squeaky when moving. Which I’m used to but I figured with a pack of that cost maybe they would have that worked out. My buddies exo mountian seemed much quieter. But other than that it did wonderfully. I am pleased with my purchase and would buy SG again and would recommend the brand to friends. And GoHunt got my order to me quickly and efficiently. AND I didn’t have to pay any shipping costs going through them. Great experience all around!

I tried this pack on, along with a Mystery Ranch Beartooth 80. While the Sky 5900 was considerably more expensive, the decision was a no brainer. The Sky 5900 was in a whole different league when it came to comfort and fit. It doesn't have all of the bells and whistles of some other packs, but the Xcurve frame is leaps and bounds ahead of the competition and carries weight much more comfortably. At the end of the day, this is what was most important to me in a backpack. I'm looking forward to putting it though the ringer this fall.
Being from the Midwest I was a little hesitant to spend so much on a pack I might only get to use for a week or so per year. But, this pack so far has been bullet proof and it’s amazing how well designed it is. I can fit a razor 65mm spotter and the tripod in the front pocket. And plenty of room for everything else for a 4-6 day trip in the back country. Also have to mention how comfortable this pack is went loaded heavy. Stays in place and keeps a lot of the weight of the shoulders.
